Not really, because the LIFETIME license of Invision is $199, that includes access to the download section for LIFE. With vBulletin, its $160, and you only get a year access to the download section. Each additional year is $30.

Basically a one year license of Invision is $70, and a one year (still being able to use it afterwards) of vB is $160.

Thanks for your clarification about Invision's price plan, Abusiveelusive. I still like vB more though.

Its all a matter of personal opinion.

I just dont want people to automatically look elsewhere, because they think Invision is going paid.

I love Invision, for someone who wants to spend as little money possible starting a forum it is perfect...

Abusive...when will 2.0 be released with a free trial...I am still waiting on that

RC1 is released. There are some bugs, but I guess its considered "stable". They have an upgrader and all.

But I personally would wait until final.

Well I installed the invision board and although i'm used to vb the look and feel is similar. It is pretty easy to administer as well.
