vBulletin - what a f@#$ing joke!

I spent about $700 on my 4x vBulletin licenses a couple of years back when it was still in version 3. I didn't even need 4 copies, (I was only using one), but I figured seeing as they were indefinate licenses I would keep them until I had suitable domains...

... then they bring out version 4, drop kick version 3, and what sort of upgrade option do they offer us? $20 off the FULL RETAIL PRICE. Way to totally devalue my 4 licenses so that my $700 purchase is now worth nothing.

Thanks guys. I'll make sure I rush out and buy lots of version 4 licenses at $200 a pop, just before you dump those in the trash too!

This practics isn't uncommon - Microsoft does it all the time.

You can still use version 3 (the one you paid for) indefinitely....

Same with Adobe... cant download earlier versions.
