I hate that about electronics. But, such is free enterprise and competition.

Why u say that Theo?.....I hear Vista still has some issues....no?....I'd hate to buy a new desktop...get Vista....and hate it....

also....is 2GB memory and 320GB hard drive sufficient?

Leaning towards DELL Inspiron 530 w/Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.....

I have had Vista on my laptop(that was once XP, but was having major problems with XP) and I have not had one issue for 6 months now.

I like Vista!

yeah though it just runs no use though no internet or sound or many applications don't understand the kernel its like making a bird have dog food ..it will eat it but god knows what will happen

Tony, did you make a buy yet? curious to hear what the verdict was.

I tried ordering an Inspiron laptop about last week. i ordered online, then called in the next day to have them upgrade the screen resolution. just found out today instead of upgrading the order they mistakenly cancelled it. none too happy, so i have to agree w/ Doc off the bat that Dells customer service is crapola.

this was an interesting read. i'm in the same boat as you Tony. decisions decisions .. :sigh:

what is everyones view on 'recertified' laptops? can of worms or good deal?
