Actually there are many ways you can aquire them besides posting. You can sell/trade names for them. You can also purchase them. Other members can donate them. And If you had an old ID and decided you wanted a new name - you can donate them to yourself - etc.

You just stated what I've come to realize on the Internet. There's no point to post your pict on the Net. Anyone can pose as ALF or as Bush or anything and who's going to know the difference?
