Do you ever click on Gmail adsense ads? I don't. It won't matter if you had 10 million subscribers that ate up your free bandwidth and space. How would you monetize it in the first place? Meanwhile, Americans love malls. A web mall is the ultimate virtual shopping center (or centre, for Aussies).

I bet you'd pay $10 a year to get rid of those ads, and stop having keywords analysed in your private mail. But yeh a 'mall' would be a big affiliate center for shopping, much higher margins than an email provider.

I agree. "Webmall" is a good brandable name for an affiliate site. Not sure about the $40k price tag though..

I opened this thread thinking webmail.com was currently for sale for $40k and was going to quickly buy it. I wouldn't pay anywhere near that for webmall.com. For those of you saying webmall is worth $40k and webmail isn't, why is webmall.com still up for sale?

I guess that the people saying webmall is better than webmail, don't have the cash to buy it.

For me right now you're comparing Ferrari with good Opel

How can webmail.com be compared with webmall.com at all ?

Here are stats of gmail typo

2ewcg0h.jpg

Now lets calculate , Alexa 45K will receive somewhere from 2000-5000 uniques / daily , ok lets say on avarage it gets 100.000 uniques monthly . Because it is generic domain and not typo I bet that CTR will be at least 10% parked at Sedo. Now lets calculate with CPC of 0.22 cent. Even via parking it will payoff less then in 2 years

You're a techie so are naturally ad blind. I'm sure normal users do tend to click on gmail ads.
