They do rely on recall and referalls though - and thats where the hyphens hurt if you don't own the non hyphened.

But this is all academic as hyphened domains don't get the big sales.

i agree.

however.. not all resellers market to the 'big fish'.. sometimes they can sell several names maybe at a lower selling pricepoint.. and still turn good profit..

and i know & realize this forum is inclusive of many who have different 'sales' direction.. in regards to the 'BigFish' or selling to many smaller fish..

hopefully... any sale, will return profits to the seller.. and be a happy gain for the buyer..

 Main thing.. is be sure you pole has bait on it! LOL

True and thats whay peoples appraisals vary so much.

A person who has a goal of getting $50 for a domain to turn their profit will value very differently to someone who is used to much bigger value sales.

The sales price tag.. is gonna depend on WHICH SIDE OF THE FENCE your marketing too

a) another Reseller market.. who can mark up & sell to the enduser or..
b) sell direct to the end user.

i agree 100%

and it's good to see.. all 'views'... on both sides..

and as long as all know, the difference it the 'appraisal' perspective...

well.. it'll all balance out real well..

cause all can see..
both sides of the coin..

it's good.

By ALL means.. cover your territory..

yes.. snag the hyphen choked name too.. even if it only serves
as a 'redirect'... so be it..
it's better then an competitor... with the same name... riding the coat tail of your traffic.

and when you've gained the market ground in the hyphen & nonHyphen..
it just makes for a 'real cool' sales pkg. to the perspective buyer..

ya gotta tellM.. why the pkg. is good..

and what the pkg. protects..

and what they can do with the non dev' url's (redirect)

this is why i brought up the RELEVANT topic of 'LinkPopularity' in a new thread ages ago here .. although i've not been here long..

not a soul replied to that thread..

and it's soo very critical... for website owners to 'grasp' the reality of LinkPopularity.. and what impact it has.. on their engine listings.. and their circle of traffic.
