Weird Moniker whois creation date issue

Actually the domain's creation date is 1997
I can only get the 1997 info via Moniker's own whois search.
When checking via whois-search.com, iwhois.com and who.is, both shows 2009

However, all my other domain names at Moniker shows the correct creation date.

I transferred abcdeDOTcom from godaddy to moniker in 2008, but it still shows 1995.
Maybe moniker has upgraded their whois system in recent years?

Some registrars indeed show the date the domain was transfered to them.
The registry whois will always tell the accurate creation date.

Why this name is showing differently could be a bug or a change as you suggest...

if you click the registration tab on domaintools, it says the correct date.
