I don't know if its just me or does it seem really quiet on here? I see alot of people online but not really doing any posting. So just out of curiosity what do you do mostly when you come to the forum?

They are just all waiting for someone to post an LLL.com with a BIN of $1k. (I know I do... :D)

Browse and look for good domains at bargain prices.

I browse DNF all day long. Notice that there are very few good domains sold these days. People hold and wait for the prices to go back up to where they were a year ago. Good idea I believe.

Still, there are some pretty good bargains to pick up here and there. :)

Maybe some are surfing a few sites and DNF is left open...to swing back and check it :)

Oh yeah, and I work (FT job - non domaining / web related) all day long. :)

May I know your work address so that I could tell your company you are a Mod at dnforum. Something to be proud of.:) Your employer might be impressed with that.

Just surfed a number of pages looking for any domain which seemed to have some value (mostly in com and org, the 2 tld's I am still looking to buy) and could not find even 1 name which I would consider buying so I gave up looking.

That happens a lot lately both here and other forums and is one of the reasons for the slowdown being talked about at the domain boards. Most every one I have seen lately will almost certainly be dropped sooner or later rather than pay ongoing renewal bills. It's hardly wothwhile visiting if looking to buy some good names or even fair quality names, hmmm....

and they might not be so impressed when they get confirmation from you, that he's been surfing the web all day on company time.

most people may think forum is quiet when they don't see a lot of back and forth argument threads.

personally, i like it when it's quiet

but don't be fooled...there are still many active sales and transactions going on behind the scenes.

I check DNF everyday, check out the unread posts since my last visit and I check often because wow they pile up fast lol... I like to see the domains wanted section and general discussion. I wish more people would pop into the chat, would be nice to just chat and bounce ideas off each other.

That would be awesome to connect with others and such. I am on the phone talking and I cruise the board getting ideas for my software and idea

My preferred way of doing things on the forums and I am sure many others as well...

Agree, most all names (with rare exceptions) I have purchased over the years were behind the scenes, by email and also using PM's.

I have always wanted to say this but until now there was no good lead-in quote to justify my post but thanks to Don there now is; If you seriouslly want to buy a domain posted at a forum why in the world make a public offer in the thread when that usually invites competing offers (or gets higher seller expectations) and drives the price up for you assuming you manage to finally buy it.

Looking for good domains and sites to buy.. but they get posted very rarely lately :o

I think some also has to do with the fact that summer is upon us in most areas and online activity always goes down a bit.

Users are popping in and out keeping abreast of the happenings and maybe a quick buy/sell, but then aren't sticking around for the socializing as much right now. It's kind like when men go shopping....grab what you need and get out :)

Normally I just create threads asking other people what they are doing
