Why is DNF at 2004 traffic levels. Does anyone have any constructive opinion?

My opinion is that some people here have a need to attack others with different viewpoints and investments. That turns off observers who go elsewhere or just leave the forum venue altogether. Based on the timing and what my little view of the world, it looks to correlate to the ill will toward the new .mobi extension. Maybe that is a bit simple. What is your view?

I have several witnesses that you accepted a payment of $75 via Paypal in order to make your last post on DNF.

The screenshot is proof that I kept my end of the bargain.

You have violated this agreement and if you continue making posts I will ENSURE you will get banned on DNForum, NamePros and on every other god damn forum I run across your name.

Remove my name from your posts and I am gone. I didn't agree to have you breach my privacy! You took liberty in that. Remove my name from your posts and I will leave. Plain and simple.

Seems that you don't understand English. Here it is again:

Acroplex just bought himself out of the argument. I wish I could say I'm sad to go, but truth be told, I'm grateful.

~bye~

You will truly be sad if you don't stop posting.

Dnf users are just internet savvy and probably don't have the Alexa Toolbar installed, which is how Alexa generates rankings to begin with. It's hardly an accurate estimate of how much traffic a site actually receives.

Exactly.

People with Alexa toolbar installed aren't visiting DNF. There was a period when Alexa ranking seemed like a good domainer tool, and my guess is some domainers installed the toolbar, but have since uninstalled it.

Alexa is more useful for gauging traffic on sites that kids, teens and net newbies visit, than it is for techie sites. I'm not knocking it - it's just skewed towards users who are more inclined to install their toolbar.

Just edit out my private information already. I did not agree to have you breach my privacy. Wow. You love a power play. Look I agreed to leave. I mean it. But I will not go unless you remove my information. I asked you nicely in private three times. I posted the rules in two threads, yet you refuse. I have no intention of staying here. Believe you me. So fix your faux pas and let's both move on.

EACH FORUM MAY HAVE ITS OWN SET OF RULES. PLEASE READ ALL STICKIES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS IN THE INDIVIDUAL FORUMS BEFORE POSTING.

Here are the general forum rules:
The management reserves the right to make judgement calls. We can't write a rule for everything. If we see nonsense on the forum we will take care of it and let you know why. This is the "no nonsense" rule.

1. No content that is considered racist, obscene or objectionable will be tolerated. All such posts will be deleted without notice. This includes avatars. This could result in the loss of your membership without reimbursement.

2. You will not violate a persons privacy by publishing against someone's will information that is private and personal unless you have evidence of a crime or scam, and then you must post in this forum: http://dnforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=167 Your post will be deleted if you cannot back up your claim.

I posted *my* Paypal receipt as proof of payment.

Now leave before I get truly upset.

This guy is a clown. Now threats and he left me negative feedback :D LOL

You were the one who threatened me by saying you'd ruin my rep everywhere my name appears. All I said was let's see what I could conjure up...

Let's bring things back into perspective, shall we:

I posed an argument you couldn't seem to answer and it annoyed you.

You offered to pay my membership fees for me to leave.

I agreed.

You paid....AND THEN YOU POSTED MY PERSONAL INFORMATION

I asked you rather nicely considering three times in private PM's.

I posted the rules in the threads.

You said You want ****ING RULES!

Now who is being a douche bag and who is just waiting for a moderator who is aware of rule #2 to edit out what you flat out refuse to.

This / you are the exact reason why good people leave.

You must be hell at an airport...never letting people go... let me go Acro...let me go

You want rules? I'll show you some ****ing rules!

It's called never bite the hand that feeds you, back up your claims with facts instead of random screenshots, and keep your word!

YOU HAVE ZERO CREDIBILITY and you're only making it worse.

And now some threats:

What a douchebag. He even left me negative feedback LMAO :D

Here we go.

Mr. Whine.

Have some cheese.

There is no personal information, it's the transaction stub showing that I paid.

In the morning, the negative feedback that you so maliciously left will be removed, rest assured. I have no reason to be a dumbass like you are and leave retaliatory neg.

Not only you have been publicly shamed but you will be banned as well and because I never forgive nor forget, I will notify NamePros also.

Find solace in isolation, begone. I paid you $75 and like the forum whore that you are, you took it.

If you don't stop altogether, I will notify Paypal and will have your so-called business account suspended. There is no payment without rendering the services you promised.

You shouldn't mis characterize me or the transaction as it makes you look sort of foolish. Don't worry, I'll keep the record straight:

You said why are you here?

I said because I can't get a refund.

You said I'll pay you your refund to leave

I said OK.

That is hardly a whore transaction. Do you talk to all your business partners that way?

Here we go.

Is that a milk mustache under your chin?

Yes, I paid you so that you remove yourself from DNForum.com and cease all future posts.

Do not continue posting here.

And that's the basis of the fraud dispute I will file with Paypal unless you leave. You've already pushed the envelope too far.

Nice theory.

You may be right, there could be fewer people at dnf who understand the value of .mobi - and the advantages of bodis (mobi&bodis: double happiness). :)

That's very interesting, George. It shows a different curve for both DNForum.com and NamePros.com - but most important, the trend is the same (same highs and lows). That's the same method employed in the stock market to determine trends in stocks that belong in the same industry; in our case, domains.

I'd like to see a graph of the installs of the new IE browser overlaid with the Alexa graphs. Did not the new IE wipe clean all the toolbars that were previously installed on the machine?

And for what it's worth, Alexa has about 2 million toolbars out there at the moment.
