Shopify is much easier to use and a way better platform.
I’ve used both personally, built dozens of stores on both platforms for clients, and if I never touch a woocommerce store again I’d be a happy man.
The main downside to Shopify is it’s a little more expensive, but we almost always see conversions increase that far outweigh the extra cost.

Liquid is a pleasure compared to php and basic customisation required by 95% of stores is easy.
