Was looking through some old domains I regged way back when (late 90's).

On each one of them I noticed the Whois info states registration around 2002.

Thought the domains show their original reg date?

Any thoughts? Take for example: etoysale.com or ub6.com reged those

a long long time ago. Obviously they were sold or lost over the years, but I wonder why their reg dates don't go back to the original dates.

Anyone?

The creation date shows the date it was last registered, not the date it was first registered.

And you think I would know that by now (lol) Thanks for the heads up...
Is there a place where we can check when it was originally registered?

I know whois.sc has a service that goes 5 years back, anything later than that?

Thanks

Whois.sc only goes 2 years back. Try Archive.org and Alexa.com
