Why are people weird about name registers?

And how have they not learned how to use whois yet?

I'm the first to admit all my names are MOSTLY with two registers, and I will steer away from one buying if its only a decent buy. If its a great buy why not get the name, if its a place where you can get a free account. If its over 60 days old and I really want the name, just set up the account and pull it over and add a year, can normally get a better deal anyway.

Hey I hate having 20 accounts, but you end up with them. People would rather go through the pull process with me on the other end then making a free account and being on both sides, and taking full control of paid product in mere minutes.

Again I understand not wanting 40 different accounts with names scattered everywhere, but if its a free account and you really want it, whats another $7 to pull it where you want.

When someone asks if you can "push" a name from one register to another can you just ignore them or say here is your sign?

It's always a good idea to have accounts with the main registrars (Enom, NetSol, GoDaddy, Moniker, etc..) so when you buy domains you can quickly get a push to your account (but then they're locked in the 60 day) but you should be able to get them transferred from the seller.

Another advantage is if you go though Pool, Snapnames, Namejet etc. for dropped domains. They work with other registrars to get the domains, sometimes they're just a reseller for one of the big companies.
