Why did ovt update stop?

I believe it's our fault. Yahoo build the tool to help their advertisers. Domainers found a way to exploit the tool so I think Yahoo did not like the huge load of bulk requests on their servers, from a crowd that were not even customers in their advertisers platform.
My theory
 
Petrosc hit the nail on the head. We used it, abused it and losed it.
 
In what cave do you live? it was like half a year ago :)
 
thats cool petrosc......for how much time can this be used for free?...........any idea how to get the overture after march?
 
are you talking about the Free online scanner? We are planning to keep it free for as long as the site is up:)

About ovt after march, there is no such thing, Yahoo has stopped publishing OVT data after march
 
they should have just started charging for the tool and they would have made some real money..everyone I know would buy it

how much would you be willing to pay for "1 hour" usage of the updated 2008 Overture results?

This is some old news. I remember when OVT was going to shut down a year and a half ago, it's when the DRT fad started to arise and everyone bought it and used it. The servers were taxed incredibly and the results took forever to get!

We actually cost yahoo money, lol!

But, we will persist in other ways...and I'm sure they make OVT scores or some type of scoring system available to yahoo search marketing users.
 
I wouldnt get my hopes high on that:) I talked with someone from yahoo, they do not want to release their data
