Aside from the country that it stands for, TV is the universally recognized abbreviation for television.

If you want an easy to remember domain, why not the .tv?

the problem is when people make sites like: candles.tv

.tv is absolutely useless for most types of websites...

If it was $8.88 per .tv i am sure it too would become More popular! Its their own fault for making it higher priced than other tld's !

But still it can never have as much use as tld's like .info , imho a .pro has more general uses than .tv !

.tv can be work when marketing on TV or for a subject related to TV/cable...otherwise it's a waste of time...

.TV extensions can have very expensive yearly renewals for premium .tvs, however im sure the television channels dont really care as it its a drop in the ocean for them, but one important point a.tv is useless unless it fits the domain fits the extension e.g :

ringtone.tv - No go = cheap renewal fee

Horror.tv + a definate yes = $500.00 renewal fee per year !

You see where im coming from now the registrar is not stupid when it comesto television related .tvs.

Hope this helps
