It isn't even a domain name forum? It makes it impossible to link to established websites your selling there, so members can make offers on both sites.

This may be why:

16. Promoting other domain name or webmaster related forums (or any forum that resembles the structure and/or content of DNForum) in your posts, signatures, or in any way on the forum is not permitted, unless it is a legitimate sale, and then you may ONLY post the sale in the proper forum and not in your signature or anywhere else on the forum. THIS INCLUDES ANY FORUMS THAT HAVE ANY OF THE SAME CATEGORIES WE HAVE.

OK, so if your selling a website on both forums, it's a legitimate sale, is it not? Censoring the keywords makes it impossible to link to the site...

It is okay to sell on other sites as long as you make it clear. And why would you want to link to that site from here?

To enable buyers to make the bid on both sites.

That, is not allowed.

seems a silly rule just to block competitors, plus going back to the TOS, it is a legitimate sale, but with the censorship you get no choice in the matter...

the "legitimate sale" refers to:

if you were selling 'SP' the forum. or another "domain name forum or webmaster site", then you could list it for sale here.
But you could not post the link in your sig or make reference to it in posts, if not offering it for sale. as that would be considering "promoting".

So showing buyers somewhere else on the net where you are selling the same site, so they can duplicate there bids to keep prices in check, that is somehow promoting that site :?:

I think the rule is selective by omission; after all, Adam has removed the censorship of NamePros.

Fair enough. It just seems pretty obvious to me when someone is spamming a site, and when there not. Censorship isn't the answer. And if we didn't discuss rules, they would never be changed, would they?
