May not mean much to most but tonight...
We just got our second certified Therapy Dog qualified per TDI standards.
Simon is our youngest of 5 labs (about 14 months old) and has been a huge hit with crowds already. This week alone, he completed his Level II obedience on Monday, Canine Good Citizen (per AKC standards) Wednesday, and certified therapy dog tonight.
Our efforts has led to developing a reading therapy program with a local elementary school. All credit goes to my wife for getting this started. The program has been so successful that this has been written into their cirriculum and approved by the county. This is all pro-bono work.
With that said, I was recently granted the TradeMark
Tutors With Tails
Naturally, we will use Simon in this capacity as well as playing Simon Says. He can be a show and tell for proper hygiene as he allows us to brush his teeth, wash his hands, clean his ears, shakes hands, etc.
Looking forward to working with him in these capacities.
