I got an offer for $1049 for ChristmasGiftsfor.com.

I have it parked on Fabulous, so the offer came through there.

I seem to lose customers when I counter the offer. Should I counter? How much?
Thanks:)

I would take the offer - I doubt you will ever get more...IMHO

That is a great offer for that name.

I am not familiar with the process on Fab. with offers, but I personally would accept that offer without hesitation.

I agree, if you counter offer on this one...and buyer backs out...you're sitting with a reg fee name.

I would gladly take the money.

Also, I have been closing a lot more sales lately by assessing what I actually want for the name as opposed to what I may be able to get.

In many cases I get a great 1st offer on a name and then start to think...well it is a 1st offer and just a starting point....even if the offer has exceeded my initial expectations....I then counter with 3-5x the initial offer...

one out of 50 accept the offer I initially send back.
About 50% counter a little over their initial offer.
the rest pretty much go away.

More than ever now, when I get a fair initial offer, I will just accept it...likewise when I get an bad lowball offer - I do not bother with it at all.

Take the money and reinvest about 33%. Put the other 33% in the bank and have fun with the last 33%. :)

Strange number to be offered. Someone's getting a commission for aquiring it perhaps? Leads me to wonder if there is a better number they would go. I also am not familiar with fabulous' system. If it were at sedo, I'd start an auction with it. Otherwise, I'd probably take the money.

I agree with all those who say take the offer. I don't see that it's too likely that you're going to get another one.

Agreed. Take the offer and run!

See if they want to buy ChristmasGiftsForDomainc.com also.

Take the offer and don't look back.

Thank you all of you. Great feedback and much appreciated. I did a count..there's one reply for counter, two with a swing vote, and 12 for take the offer. Majority rules. I will take the offer. I'll let you know how it works out. Thank you again!
