It can be many things:

National Basketball Association
NanoBusiness Alliance
National Band Association
National Bar Association
National Beekeepers Association (New Zealand)
National Bison Association
National Board of Advisors
National Boating Association
National Boxing Association
National Braille Association
National Brassfoundry Association (UK)
National Business Agent
National Business Association
Net Book Agreement
Nevada Bar Association
No Boys Allowed
Non-Parametric Boundary Analysis

But what most people think of first when they hear the 3 letters NBA is the National Basketball Association.

Yes many organisations could use this name, and many individuals could use it. All you need is an imagination. But personally, when someone says the NBA.. first thing that comes to mind is the National Basketball Association... but maybe thats because I have 3 brothers that are Basketball crazy. Dont play it myself ;)

I understand that you don't want someone publishing NBA future drop schedule.

However, this one is such a high profile. That everyone in the domain industry will
know about it shortly, if they don't already know.

I can guarantee that it will be on Pool's front page.

If I got the name. I would use it for the National Bogus Assn.

However, second thought. I really would not want it.
To much pressure from the "NBA" lawyers.

Who ever the NBA is?

The NBA is actually letting it drop, then they will probably notice it months down the road and chase the new owner to get it back (not saying they could). I thought about placing a call a few months ago to alert them, but didn't feel like spending a few hours on a long distance hold.

It appears the National Basketball Assn. owns the .com, .net, .info, .us, and .biz.
And, they are letting the .org drop?

Domainut is correct. Someone screwed up. And, they will probably come looking for it in
a couple months.

I am not willing to take the risk. Because, I don't think my National Bogus Assn will win this one.
