Hi - we're working on a spam email research project and are seeking to purchase any domains that receive a significant amount (500-10,000+ spam email messages per day).

length, language, spelling, web traffic not important, we're just looking for SPAM EMAIL (strange but true).

Thanks!

UPDATE: As posted below, we think the best strategy to first seek "MX record" donations. Here is what we're looking for: (and thanks again to those who have already redirected traffic/spam! :) )

... It's easy:

1. Point your MX records to our domain (spamcloud.org) as follows:

Mail Server, Priority (optional)

  • mx1.spamcloud.org, 10
  • mx2.spamcloud.org, 20
  • mx3.spamcloud.org, 30
2. Send me an email ([email protected]), PM, or post here and let me know what domain(s) we can expect spam from.

That's it!

Thanks,
Steve

p.s. Here are some very thorough instructions on how to change MX records (Thanks, Google! But remember to use our domain, not Google's!)

(and this request is open to anyone else too - please help us out!)

lol...can you afford a $20k domain name? (what I paid for it)

one word generic I wanted to set up an email on and when I tried got thousands and thousands of spam emails within days..probably because it's such an old & generic name

Unfortunately, no , but how about a t-shirt? :)

But, seriously, I am interested in the spam - would you be kind enough to point your MX records to our domain? A little less load for your servers (if any) and you'd be helping us bring down the spammers. You'll stick get all the web traffic (not email), and we can improve our spam database.

And if there is a decent amount of volume as you say, I'd be happy to send a company shirt.

It's easy:

1. Point your MX records to our domain (spamcloud.org) as follows:
