Has it happened to you?

You have a domain that you can't sell for $20 here at DNF. You decide to let it drop, you monitor it's process and notice bidding is up to $300+ for the domain, the domain is set to expire today, so I try to log into my account and renew it and wouldn't you know it .. it's not in the account anymore. This has happened to me before with others reaching the $$$$ in bidding. I wonder if the domain had no bids on it, would I be able to renew it today still?? Once bids are placed, is my grace period over?

it has happened to me many times.
People are either undervaluaing the domains, or, people are just addicted to bidding and winning the domains...
Your 2nd question, I do not understand. If the name expired, you have redemtion period.
How can someone bid on your name that hasnt dropped?

If the domain is registered at Netsol, and the domain expires, doesn't the bidding start already then at Snapnames?

well the name was at NW .. registered at Dotster, so normally domains show up there prior to actually being dropped.

after the redemption period , yes.
However, I have seen domains at netsol go to other drop catchers.
I am not so sure about how solid the agreement is between netsol and SN.
