Somebody on eBay today became a recipient of this new scam:

programs held on the 1st January,
2003. Your e-mail address attached to ticket number 27511465896-6410 with
serial number 3772-510 drew lucky numbers 7-14-88-23-31-45 which consequently
won in the 1st category, you have therefore been approved for a lump sum pay
out of US$ 1,000,000.00 (One Million United States Dollars)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Due to mix up of some numbers and names, we ask that you keep your winning
information confidential until your claims has been processed and your money
Remitted to you. This is part of our security protocol to avoid double claiming

I have received this email before too. I just deleted it.

The telephone number is probably one of those that they charge you something like $5 per minute and they try to keep you on the line as long as possible. . .

They tell you to do nothing though...

They probably follow up in a week with instructions to give them a credit card to "confirm" your age before sending the money

Could they take money from your bank account in some ways if you supply them your full details ? I don't think ... Yes, maybe they ask for a credit card number in a second time :(

I hate all these scams: Internet is a wonderful place where almost anyone can do big money by working honestly and by offering useful services to other people ...

New? I've been getting these for over a year. lol I've won hundreds of millions of dollars off this. Just too damn lazy to call or email them.. :)
