Nice to see the poll up. Guess where I voted for :-D

As anticipated, the US dominating already. But only 20 votes yet, will see what happens by next week.

I say Dallas Texas, in around March, April of next year.

If you do this, it will be awesome!

Poll Results:

new york = 16
las vegas = 17
chicago = 11
seattle = 9
london = 10
hong kong = 4
dallas = 8

If you have not voted, please vote on the poll above.

Looks like las vegas is winning so far.

My issue is based on this poll only 44 people voted and some will not get the city of there choice so what does that leave attendance at?

We need full participation if there is to be a conference.

You need a way to weight the votes so that people who ACTUALLY ATTEND these types of things get more decision power than people whose have never attended and often never will. I have attended in the past, and am attending Pubcon in Las Vegas in 2 weeks. I posted about this in another thread, but there seems to be little interest in domain conferences, in fact I only know of 2 others from this forum going to the one in 2 weeks. That's OK, I'll get more time with the Google and Yahoo engineers :)

I am surprised to see so little voting considering the number of active users on this forum. Is there no other way of increasing the exposure of this forum? For starters maybe make it a sticky, followed by sending a pm to every paid member forwarding them to this thread.

I am sure if awareness of this thread increases, so will the votes. :)

will get much more results!

Hey now... I *want* to go to PubCon, does that count? I've been burning too much PTO time at work and PubCon won't count as work related so I have to use vacation time if I want to go. Plus work won't pay for the conference fee :(

Now if the conference fee were < $100... I'd go ahead and eat the PTO time and be in Vegas.

Sometimes the conference fees make attendance cost prohibitive.

Is there going to be a live webcast or even a not-live webcast? Perhaps a DVD for sale or something? I would love to go, but I can't make it to Las Vegas and New York is down by 2!!! COME ON NEW YORK!!!!!!
