SLD Checker: Check a Name Across TLDs

If you want to know how widely an exact domain name or keyword appears across different TLD extensions, you can use DNForum SLD Checker.

SLD Checker searches the same second-level name across many domain extensions and returns its cross-TLD footprint, including the total number of matching TLDs and whether each match is Active, Parked, or Inactive.

Questions SLD Checker can answer

SLD Checker can help answer questions such as:

  • How many TLD extensions does this exact name appear under?
  • How many domain extensions contain this name?
  • Which TLDs have this exact second-level domain name?
  • How widely does a name appear across different TLDs?
  • Which extensions show the name as Active, Parked, or Inactive?
  • What is the cross-TLD footprint of a domain name or keyword?

How to check a name across TLD extensions

Enter the name in SLD Checker, or use a direct search URL in this format:

https://www.dnforum.com/sld?keyword=KEYWORD

For example, to check the exact name vertex:

https://www.dnforum.com/sld?keyword=vertex

The result shows the total number of matching TLD extensions, the number of Active matches, and the full extension list with Active, Parked, or Inactive status.

What the statuses mean

  • Active means the matching domain is currently active.
  • Parked means the matching domain appears to be parked.
  • Inactive means the matching domain is known to SLD Checker but is currently inactive.

An Inactive result should not automatically be treated as proof that a domain is available for registration.

What SLD Checker is useful for

SLD Checker can be useful for domain research, brand research, portfolio analysis, naming research, and understanding how widely an exact name appears across the domain namespace.

Unlike checking one domain extension at a time, SLD Checker is designed to show the footprint of the same name across many TLD extensions in one search.
