visualsmarts.com can be a visual tricks/tips for web page design, visual presentations, props.......

The other one sounds good for a daycare center site in a hip town that would include (taken from overture):

387 creative kid stuff
142 creative writing for kid
47 creative kid rooms
45 creative kid magazine (now there is an idea!)
43 creative snacks for kid
32 creative arts for kid
30 creative kid learning center
29 creative writing contest for kid
27 creative writing 4 kid
26 creative idea for kid

crative kid has no type-in value therefore it has no value...
The DOG..
LOL

Nah..I like it....I can see the Creative Kid tm and copyright all over....

Means Branding..means expensive marketing, but at the same time it's definetly catchy enough..

Thats the first thing I would do is TM it ..whoops already is..and they have all the bases covered as far as what you would want to use it for..

sorry but unappraise-able..

I don't think DOG meant no value at all if no type-ins. I think we are referring to not only type-ins into the address window, but also web-surfers searching for the term on the SE's.

For example, lots of people are searching for Posters and some may also be typing it in. The .com that is, not too likely the .US or .Biz, etc. The Posters name has a good combination of the 2 main indications of value.

Value is based on a combination of type-ins and also how natural the words are (and phrase popularity) a term is, for search engine traffic too, both of these in combination I think is the key to value. A valuable domain will likely have both Type-ins and also Searches.

The name Creative Kid does not seem to be too good regarding both type-ins and searches. I seriously doubt if it would get more than a very small number of either, perhaps none. (without considering trademarks).

Once again I must repeat, most all brandable names are basically worthless. That's unless someone comes along and somehow stumbles across the name, falls in love with it, must get it, and has deep pockets to develop it. The chances of all that happening are slim and none

Anyone else here have opinions on this?

It makes total sense, aactive.

99.99% of type-ins are very much a function of an outward awareness of something, and does not work in isolation as your post would suggest.

type-ins are simply over blown...very few own domains with REAL type-in value..MOST dont even understand if it's really a typein or simply someone clicking on a link from the "favorites" folder..

Realnames bought a "type-in" domain the other day....for $10 he gets roughly 30 type-ins a day...if it's trageted then it's a good domais..if it isnt then it's basically junk..but hey for $10 he got a good deal ....NOw for that same or similiar domain we have idiots running around claimimng they want 2 thosand and more for a domain because it has 30 natural type ins a day..big deal....most are just junk..

you have a cars.com ..well ok then ...you have basketball.com well ok then..but until I see you guys showing off type-in domains you have ..most are just full of hot air..

Search engines are responsible for 90% of the traffic..pure and simple ... most "type-ins dont provide enough traffic to keep a mouse feed..

Unless you own sex.biz or sex.info, WHO CARES :swg: Type-ins are overrated and old economy thinking pure and simple - reminds me of the time when the internet was text based and Archie and Gopher were more than a cartoon character and rodent.

bidawinner and Mole ... it's obvious we choose to disagree. You walk your path ... and I'll mine. No matter what you or I say will not change anything ... we all have to judge it by the bottom line ... profit ... no matter what path we choose..

This is not completely so Bid. Like I mentioned before, I have lots of long domains, many multi-words - as many as 6 seperate words or even more in some domains. You would be surprised at the type-in traffic.

I also must disagree with you. Type-ins are much more valuable than from SE's. SE traffic can be gone in a flash if the SE delists you for some odd reason. Happens all the time.

Here is my webpage counter report I just generated on a 6 word domain small 1 page developed site - word1word2word3word4word5word6.com

My name is actually a long 25 letters plus the .com. It has a zero page rank on Google and as far as I can tell not listed on any Search Engines and also has no 3rd party links that I know of. I just never bothered to do SEO work since it was getting good type-in traffic anyway. Yet this long domain with a 1 page website gets this traffic, 100% type-ins as far as I know -

Pretty good type-ins for a long 6-word phrase ;) Right?

Also notice how steady and consistent the traffic is, except for the drop early Aug., which for some odd reason happened to lots of other web-sites too - anyone know why? Could it be due to the stock market big move down, though this name is not an investing or trading name.

Realnames I will NEVER beleieve you get 130 odd NATURAL type-ins a day from a 6 word domains until I see it..

pure bull..you need to start SHOWING these domains..all of you who claim this type of nonsense..you might be getting the traffic butt's because it was an OLD site ..

it has to be a VERY popular saying to get that many typeins a day..

Prove it and I take it back..

otherwise quit posting things you guys cant back up....
