Very good list. I already knew about a number of the names that are on your list for "my type of names".

But, there are a couple I didn't know about.

What is interesting to me is the amount of names. I would have assumed there would be more.

There are 200 names listed above. (I didn't count them. I copied them to an excel file and looked at the last entry - 200. That is quicker than counting them. It took a whole 5 seconds)

All of us "amateurs and professionals" use the snaps everyday. But, there is a whole world out there that will use a namesnap one time for a particular name. That is why I thought there would be more snaps on a particular day.

HanoverMaryland.com is listed above. If anyone cares. That is where BWI (Balto. Washington Intl) is located. And, that would be where some of the BD people would fly in and out from.

Sorry about the trivia!

Zorro, I am sending you 40 DNF $.

Beatz,

If you don't find it useful. Then, don't look at it.

I found two names on the list that has my interest.

And, I am sure other people might find something of interest.

We all can't be a superstar like you.

If anyone can help me stay a step ahead of BD, I'll take their help.

Just like Yakov uses at least 3 different whois setups in different countries so 2 must be bogus.

"LOL"

And actnow, no need to get all upset.

I just asked a simple question, nothing else.

Fine if you think those lists keep you a "step ahead" of BD....:)

Good luck.

Zorro,

Cool list! I am sort of surprised that this stuff is retrievable. I was able to put a couple of good .NETs in my two empty Go daddy slots.

While there are some very decent and even truly good names in this list, I am amazed at the number of names that are there that Expired Fish probably could have trolled past hours after the drop if no Snap had been placed. No wonder Snap Names is able to pick up so many drops as a percentage! I usually try to put pretty decent names in my Snaps and even my Go Daddy slots. So far Snap Names has gotten one name with 11 placed snaps. For a little while Go Daddy was doing surprisingly well but word got out and I think they may be overwhelmed. No 'great' names there for a while, I am afraid!

Thanks again for the info!!

Jon

The total number of back-ordered names on 12/07/2003 exceeds 400. This was but a partial list.

If I had posted the complete list, 'beatz' would have shot me in the head :D

Glad you found the list to be useful.
I agree, a number of names are'nt so good but they are worth atleast $69 to an end-user out there. Definitely a good investment if you win via enom or godaddy (or even NW under $30).

The primary purpose of this excercise to evaluate how well snap is doing vis-a-vis other drop services.
Although they miss some very good names, they are doing a good job at getting a majority of the names.

Actually, for their address (4200 Wisconsin Ave, DC), that would be the 3rd choice airport after National (Reagan) and Dulles. I was born in DC.

HiO,

I believe BWI handles more air traffic now.

National is ok if you are on expense acct and you live within the
beltway. (Flight cost is extremely high.)

And, Dulles has less flights than BWI.

And, HiO. I probably will have "steamed crabs" tonight. Also, look who owns "SteamedCrabs .com and .net"

Act Now

Time = $

If you are at BD or live close to the office, you don't fly BWI if you can avoid it. I see that you are in DC. When I visit my father in northern Silver Spring, I often fly BWI, so I know what you are saying. From DC, it is usually much faster getting to and from National, or Dulles because of the dedicated highway. Since I usually fly in from SF, I never fly National anymore, but Congress sure loves it!

Anyway, let's let our airport subthread drop. :)

As for steamed crabs, I sure miss those. Dungeness crabs out here are big in size (one is a meal, instead of half a dozen), but not nearly as tasty. I see that BD owns SteamedCrabs.com & .net. But, a real crab company owns SteamedCrab.com, which sounds just as tasty to me.

By the way, MarylandCrab(s).com, BlueCrab(s).com, and DungenessCrab(s).com are all taken. However, BayCrabs.com was taken and BayCrab.com was not. So, I just grabbed it. It works just as well for San Francisco Bay as for Chesapeake Bay (although our crabs come from the ocean, rather than SF Bay). Oh, and guess who owns BayCrabs.com? One guess only!

HiO,

I am glad you found a name from our talk about steamed crabs.

And, BD's corporate offices is near the intersection of Wisconsin Ave and Old Georgetown Rd. in Bethesda - Chevy Chase

And, no. I do not work for BD. They are my major competitor.
