Khidmat Negara in translation is National Service, thats all. This is where students at the age of 17 are being picked randomly and are required to join Khidmat Negara. Khidmat Negara is in Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Malaysia, which is also the main language of Malaysia.

It is what I belive to be compared to the Army/National Guard.
