a rough estimate on income would be around $40/month COMBINED. Neither of the sites are promoted. They both would sell well as domains alone.

I see AdSense on both of the listed websites. Is AdSense the sole source of the $40 a month, or are you also including any misc. banner sales, text links etc. into that figure?

little bit of everything, including some magazine sales from a magazine site I own. This is just a rough estimate. adsense is probably around half of it...give or take.

Oh, General Motors or its Chevrolet Div must have forgot to file for a Trademark when they started making the Camaro in the 1960's and during the past 37 yrs.

It is not bashing a thread. It is just that when an non-valid claim is made (generic) that it always subject to a rebuttal even if it is a sales thread.

What if a newbie who knows nothing about trademarks thinks it really is a generic and ends up getting a wipo filed, and loses his investment in the domain plus a big hassle?

P.S. If the Mods think that posting it is wrong I will delete it right away.

All other extensions are registered, and most have sites on them. This domain has been registered since 1997. There are sites on most of the plural versions as well, including even the great z28.com. Most of these sites have been around 5 plus years. I think there is no apparent risk of losing the domain.

There is no other meaning for the term 'camaro' that I am aware of, so I can imagine whoever would buy it would have to know what a camaro is.

I understand your input, so your point is now made. We can both sleep better tonight knowing that no one will buy the site without knowing what a camaro is :goofy:

Never meant to say said its usage was wrong or the domain was not a good value for purchase. Ih fact, I am even interested in buying the domain.

Chevrolet likely will not file a complaint since it is being used as a Camaro car forum board. As a tip you should have a notice on the webpage that Camaro is a Trademark belongng to GM or Chevrolet. Then you have even less to worry about, IMO.

The only thing I was referring to is that you originally said it was 'very generic' even after I asked if that was really so? I believe if you use a Trademark in the sense that it is a Fan Club for example (but not so sure about a forum, perhaps OK too) the TM Owner will probably (but perhaps not always) have no objection to its use.

Good luck, the domain/site is good.

P.S. The TM and claim it's generic can cause trouble for say some domain name newbie who uses it to open a Camaro dealership and sell new Camaros' himself. Or perhaps someone who uses it in the context the Camaro is no good vs a Jaguar so buy a Jag instead. Or even someone selling Camaro factory new parts. These uses would probably get a WIPO.
