247 domains, are they worth it?

Hey I just wanted to hear some other opinions on 247 domains.

Are they worth acquiring? Do they get good traffic? Good end-user value? What else?


Personally I think that it depends on if the word it it paired with is something that would be needed 24 hours a day. This to me seems like it would favor services over most other things. I, however, do not own any 247 domains at the moment and so I can't really make any statements about traffic or what type of keywords have a better CTR.

That doesn't do anything for me. The web itself is open 24-7 so why reiterate that with a site?

Unless you have some gimmick that someone will be there for them 24-7 (like advice, tech support) and get it developed / promoted well, I don't see any value.

Definitely don't expect many type-ins.

It seems like 247 domains appear every once in a while at sedo, but nothing mindblowing IMO. Namebio has several 247 sales for reference; don't think the traffic or demand is there just yet

Yeah, the 247 sites are a waste of time. I would never even consider one unless they had an established site behind it.

It's not necessary at all, IMO. Almost depreciates a name.
