E.g. the brand "islamic car" tells me little, the function of locating Mecca though is the purpose.

Well in the islamic world I don't think much people cares about such news , I saw it one of the newspapers and did not cared much and did not read it , it is only marketing.

Don't knock it. I have made many flights Malaysia <> UK on Malaysian Airlines. They have a special area for the flight deck crew to pray. Given the navigational equipment at their disposal, there's no painted 'arrow' and they are excused during V1 and V2 takeoff procedures, and below 500 feet during the landing phase. It doesn't matter what the 'vehicle' is, there's always a market for Mecca clocks and positional gadgets.
