Would like to get some advice on the value of 4 letters .com and how many are left and how to find them?

How about 3 letters .inc and .us??

There is a lot of hyping of certain classes of domains goes on around here.

There are 456,976 LLLL and 10,000 NNNN if you combine numbers and letters together there 1,679,616. It is difficult to get scarcity value there. By contrast the total number of LLL is only 17576 and frankly they are not worth anything unless the meet the requirements of an end user wanting that particular set of letters.

By contrast I have hundreds of single character IDNs, many of which will have real scarcity value once the market kicks in with the launch of IE 7.0.

We even had one comedian on here trying to convince us that 5 letter acroyms would become scarce.

Frankly, unless it shows up on Overture I would leave well alone.

As for .US, I think they were all booked out. Still doesn't mean they are worth a great deal.

Best Regards

This is in the wrong forum... but anyway, I think people are looking at the X letter domains wrong.

I don't care about random 4 letters with no meaning, such as WKDQ.com (no offense if somebody happends to have that one.. lol, I am just picking a random 4 letter name).

However, 4 letter words and pronounceable terms that can be branded ARE in fact rare, and should be considered a different category than just 4 letter domains..

LOAN.com anybody? How about eBay.com... iPod.com, XBOX.com, FORD.com, DELL.com, SONY.com, IMAX.com... I could go on and on, but domains like those are worth a lot BEFORE being branded. Heck, a few years ago XBOX didn't exist. Microsoft bought the domain name from someone who probably registered it because they thought it sounded "cool." Well COOL.com is worth more than dks.com and other random 3 character acronym names.
