Yes, Years ago I owned OlympicSoccer.com as I had a licensing deal with the USOC...as soon as my licensing deal was over they instructed me to not renew the domain...funny thing is I let it drop and they never claimed it...I believe a domainer claimed it and is still sitting on it.
