If 9j.com sold for that much Id say based on that 7C is worth $25 to $30k. Not sure if the 9J was a reseller sale or an enduser sale though.

It's parked - after buying like 3 months ago, likely reseller ;) - same for 1z.com
 
I think 9J.com is stronger name for branding. 9 and J have the same curve and memorized easily. In any case I think the name worth 25k

I would approach 7C communications:

The only problem is that they have a TM for the term 7C.
You have to check if this TM only in Australia or also in USA.
On the other hand 99% of all 2-3 letter domains have TM issues,
but that doesn't mean the companies that have TM on the term
try to inforce it.

Keep an eye on the LN.coms listed for sale at the Snapnames auction. I would like to believe that these names are undervalued in the reseller market, but now the market is slowing starting to realize the true value.

LN.coms historically seem to have done better than NL.coms though.
