Funny feeling 66913's bid was something to do with giant MediaNews Group, who incidently purchased medianews.com about 3 months back. Looking at the bid patterns, this guy had a lot more will and firepower than I would care to commit to a .org.

Here's some history of medianews.org and why it was dropped. I was actually surprised it got onto my radar screens when checking deleteddomains.com and I decided to pursue it for a whim.

Whatever it is, this game is getting markedly more tough and expensive for small players.

Its a good name though. Hope the winner develops it well.

Does anyone know which numbers are linked to which bidders. For example buydomains and cayman, etc? Please list numbers if possible.

I think the numbers change every time. They aren't assigned as standard.

Exactly,

I tried to make a chart when Pool first started so I could try to figure out who I was bidding against. No such luck.
