i have rencently sold a few names, and one of the names is at NAMESYSTEM.COM a pool grabber,

but the new owner has tried to transfer the name to his Bulkregister account,
and got this..

Domain(s) Not Found at Supported Registrar - This domain does not appear to be registered with a supported registrar. At this time, we are only
accepting domain transfers from the following registrars: Network Solutions,
Melbourne IT, Register.com, Tucows/OpenSRS, Dotster, DomainDiscover,
DotRegistrar, Enom.

!!!!!!!!! can they do this? (well they have!) but i thought the system was suposed to be transparent..

thanks

lol, my guess is that is all they have set up their systems to parse the whois output from.

That is strange. I am not sure why a registrar would not want to allow a transfer in. I think theparrot hit the nail on the head, those are the only registrars that they have automated the whois parsing for and would rather not hand parse the data.
