Yeah, I know you all hate .ws tlds, but I thought I'd register it and see how many hits it gets.

Very generic adult domain, but kind of long.

Any thoughts?

The best .ws domains don't get many without a developed site.I can't see many people typing in that domain either.

on Overture. Almost 1.5 Million on Google. Yes, the extension kind of sucks but with a site and some work I can see good potential. As such probably $250.

Yeah, I saw those figures too. Given the numbers, I figured for the $16.95 reg fee, it might be worth a shot at development, what the heck.

I am thinking of turning it into an adult portal site with lots and lots of affiliate program links. Does anyone have any experience with such things... do adult portal sites really make money?

While I can certainly appreciate "F*ckThis.com"--that's a very clever double entendre, and I can see why a few others would get type-in traffic, most of them lack a certain "artistry" in my opinion. But I guess that's just my taste. Seeing as I'm not a man, there's probably a good reason for that....

But I guess if it works, you can't argue with that. It's the target audiences' taste that matters...ie. lonely, horny men.

Type-ins

Any Domain can become a type in.

Get visitors, offer great content and the word will spread. I found DNforum thanks to another site I had visited. Its a type in now for me, but who would have thought, no one. If it was a .whatever I still would have typed it in, why because the domain is descriptive and related to what I was looking for. Many people use search engines when searching for material, they dont just start typing in .coms or .nets into their browser, do they?

Any domain/extention can become a type in, its so simple to understand. Word of mouth, links and good search engine placement goes a long way.

If I find a site I like, it becomes a type in. Thus, any extension will do.
