I'm new to this forum, and I'd like to thank Americar and the dnforum webmaster...this looks like a great site!
As some of you probably know, Afternic abruptly closed its forums and chat this past Monday (8 April, 2002). They gave absolutely no advance notification to their customers that they were going to do this. Two years worth of forum postings disappeared overnight.
Of course, it is true that a lot of the stuff posted to Afternic's forums was not exactly useful and thoughtful communication, but still, it was a popular customer feature, and it would have been a minimum common courtesy to let us know this change was coming.
But Afternic long ago abandoned any pretence to good customer service, and this latest move is in keeping with that general pattern of customer disregard.
Great to see a place like dnforums where domainers can discuss the business!
