closed alexa rating of 12####

Should i get a name that has an alexa rating in the low hundred thousands for 100 US - the only thing is it has only been up for a few months and there are no links listed with alexa - low ov - etc.

What is your advice?

Ask to view the traffic reports, and find out where the traffic is coming from, because it has to be coming from somewhere.

Worst case scenario is it's an inflated Alexa rating because the owner manipulated it. For instance it loads in a hidden popunder window on some other trafficed site. So you'll have to evaluate also if the domain is still worth $100 to you if it no longer gets the traffic the rating implies.
