a lot of "defensive" regs are in that mix

i can see the future now....

once porn moves to .xxx, it will be easier to "isolate" that industry by extension

then start charging access fee's, and institute other manipulative actions

a plan partially adopted from G's dns rule for ppc's

:)

A while back I was reading an article regarding .xxx and the porn industry. It appears that the porn industry has no desire to give up its coveted .com space.

There is nothing, nothing at all...making them move to the .xxx space and they will not.

Porn will still reign king on .com and will remain the .com king and the number one search globally.

Just like anything (and anyone) else, most in the porn industry are regging their .xxx and pointing to their .com site.

That is why there has been this perceived sense of parental relief that the porn industry is being segregated to their own space - it is not going to happen.

And there is no law on the planet that says they have to.

I'd be curious to know the real numbers. Checking some keywords I'm surprised by how much is now taken.

Another example of the domainers rush vs. actual usage.

You can get an idea of sites using .xxx by googling the following phrase:

site:.xxx

Naturally, these are many early adopters as well as the .xxx registry itself.
