I agree with this, seems like people are kinda quick to bring up trademark disputes. I don't see how this could possibly be a trademark issue, unless the companies trademark was for the name AMT. Still they would have to be profiting off of the companies brand using their name.

the term "designer drug" is misleading tho.. many of them can be very very dangerous since often times they are produced by backroom chemists that dont exactly know what they are doing.. and ingested by people that dont exactly know the effects on their body.

I never liked the term "designer drug" ...all "drugs" not found in nature and made by man are "designer drugs" The Analog Drug Act in 1985 in the US got rid of anybody legally selling MDMA over the counter of a bar (Texas) on a Friday night so you cant "get around" that any more by saying - nanny-nanny-nanny you cant touch me I changed one molecule. The reality is our bodies are all made up of "drugs" Dopamine-check, Seratonin-check etc. we even have THC receptors. (No I dont smoke). More people die from prescription drugs (and OTC drugs) than illicit drugs (look up Aspirin).

Your correct Petros, thats what I beleive to be the case too, but there are some on this forum that believe if there is a TM on it, and you registered it after the TM date, that the domain is essentially worthless.

Why this sale in particular? Is it the domain itself, or something about the sale that make you skeptical? As pointed out before, AMT is becoming a well known abbreviation for Alternative Minimum Tax. It is affecting exponentially more people over time and becoming more and more a topic of conversation. AMT is a heavy tax burden intended to eliminate deductions for very high income earners. But the qualifiction amount hasn't increased over the years and now it hits millions of tax payers here. It's a growing subject of interest with very high value (tax planning assistance). I think $100K is a huge bargain for an end user.

Not off topic, I see what you mean Eva. Mr. deleted's appraisal was inaccurate if not incorrect but that's a subject of another thread. If the new owner of AMT 1) does not offer services related to machines & tools, 2) does not place any advertisement (including adsense/parking) that forward visitors to competitors and 3) does not try to sell the domain to the TM holder, there is no way of proving bad faith and therefore he should have no problem.

He can sell anything from jeans to space trips, as far as there are no machines and tools he will be fine.
