DNForum and our related domain name forums have dedicated Sold Domains sections where completed domain name sales can be reported, discussed and archived.

This is not a paid advertising product.

We do not charge for this.

The purpose is simple: to make useful domain sales information easier to discover, compare and discuss across the domain name industry.

If you are a domain marketplace, broker, registrar, registry or domain investor with regular reportable sales, you may apply to have your completed sales reviewed for publication in the correct Sold Domains section.

IMPORTANT: Please only submit sales data that you have permission to share with DNForum and that DNForum may republish in the relevant Sold Domains section.

If the sales data belongs to a marketplace, broker, registrar, registry or third-party data provider, please make sure you are authorised to provide it to us for publication.

What Are the Sold Domains Sections?

The Sold Domains sections are forum areas where completed domain name sales may be published.

These may include:

Marketplace-reported sales
Brokered domain sales
Registrar or registry-related sales reports
Publicly reported sales
Private sales where enough information can be shared
Weekly or monthly sales summaries
TLD-specific sales reports
Country or region-specific sales reports

The goal is to build a useful public archive of domain sales for investors, brokers, registrars, registries, marketplaces and other domain professionals.

Where Are Sales Reports Published?

Different forums in our network focus on different domain markets.

DNForum.com reports all TLD sales.

DNForum remains the main global section for all TLDs. The other forums are used where the sales are more relevant to a specific country, language or regional domain market.

How Can Sales Be Submitted?

There are several ways to submit completed domain sales:

RSS feed
CSV file
Spreadsheet
Plain text list
API output
Regular email report
Manual forum submission

For one-time reports, a spreadsheet or plain text list is usually enough.

For regular reports, an RSS feed is usually the best option.

RSS Feed Option

For regular sold domain reports, the easiest method is to provide DNForum with a private RSS feed.

The feed does not need to be public.

If your marketplace, brokerage, registrar or registry already has a sales feed, you may provide a private RSS URL directly to DNForum. The feed can then be reviewed and, if suitable, connected to our XenForo RSS feed importer.

DNForum uses XenForo’s standard RSS feed importer for this task.

XenForo documentation explains that the RSS feed importer can automatically create forum threads by importing content from RSS feeds. It is configured in the XenForo admin area under:

Important Privacy Note

DNForum already works with private and partner-provided RSS feeds for completed domain sales.

These feed URLs are not published publicly because some are custom-created for DNForum or supplied privately by marketplaces, brokers or data providers.

If you provide us with a private feed, we will not publish the feed URL in public forum posts unless you specifically ask us to do so.

Important Technical Note for Marketplaces

XenForo’s standard RSS feed importer imports one RSS feed into one selected destination forum.

This means that if your marketplace wants sales to appear in several different forums, the best option is to provide separate filtered RSS feeds.

For example:

A global completed sales feed for DNForum
A UK zone and .ie sales feed for Acorn Domains
A DACH-focused feed for Consult Domain
A France-focused feed for ForumNDD
A .be and .nl sales feed for 27.be
A .ro sales feed for DomainForum.ro

Alternatively, you may provide one complete RSS feed and DNForum may review whether the sales can be filtered manually or through a custom process.

What the RSS Feed Should Contain

Each completed domain sale should appear as one RSS item.

At minimum, each item should include:

Domain name
Sale price
Currency
Sale date or publication date
Marketplace, broker, registrar or source name
A stable unique ID for the sale
A link to the source, if the sale is publicly visible

Recommended optional details:

TLD or extension
Sale type, for example marketplace sale, brokered sale or auction sale
Whether the sale is public, marketplace-reported, brokered or self-reported
Short note about the sale
Attribution text

Please do not include private buyer or seller details unless they are intended to be public.

Recommended RSS Format

Please use a valid RSS 2.0 feed.

The feed should be available at a stable URL and return XML.

Recommended technical format:

RSS version: 2.0
Character set: UTF-8
One completed sale per RSS item
Use a stable guid for every sale
Do not reuse guid values
Do not change guid values after publication
Use pubDate in standard RSS date format
Keep the item title clear and human-readable
Put the full forum-ready sale text in content:encoded where possible
Keep description as a short fallback summary

Minimum Required Data Per Sale

Each RSS item should include at least:

Domain: example.com
Price: 25000
Currency: USD
Date: 2026-07-07
Venue: Example Marketplace
Sale type: Marketplace-reported sale
Unique ID: examplemarketplace-sale-2026-000001

The price and currency should be easy to identify.

Please do not put the sale price only inside an image, JavaScript widget or tracking URL.

The domain name and price should be visible in the title whenever possible.

Why content:encoded Is Recommended

The XenForo RSS feed importer can use feed content inside the message template.

For that reason, the best approach is to provide forum-ready text inside content:encoded.

This allows the marketplace to control the important sale details while DNForum controls the destination forum, posting account, thread prefix and message template.

If content:encoded is not available, DNForum may use the RSS description field instead.

Recommended XenForo Importer Setup

In XenForo, the feed can be added under:

Forums -> RSS feed importer

Recommended setup:

Title: Example Marketplace Recent Sales
URL: private RSS feed URL supplied to DNForum
Fetch new entries every: 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour or another suitable interval
Posting user: a dedicated forum account for that marketplace or source
Destination forum: the correct Sold Domains section
Thread prefix: marketplace name, if available
Post immediately: only after the feed has been reviewed and trusted

Recommended XenForo Title Template

Usually the RSS item title is enough.

Example item title:

If a marketplace-specific thread prefix is used, the title template can normally remain simple.

Feed Rules

Please follow these rules:

Include completed domain sales only
Do not include active auctions
Do not include unsold listings
Do not include make-offer listings
Do not include private buyer details
Do not include private seller details unless they are meant to be public
Use one sale per RSS item
Use stable guid values
Keep the feed URL stable
Use UTF-8 encoding
Avoid JavaScript, iframe code and tracking scripts
Avoid overly promotional text
Keep the report useful for domain investors

Suggested Number of Items

For regular feeds, 20 to 50 recent sales are usually enough.

The feed does not need to contain the full historical archive.

The most important part is that new sales appear as new RSS items with new guid values.

Because the standard XenForo RSS importer connects one feed to one forum, separate filtered feeds are preferred when a marketplace wants its sales to appear across several forums.

Do Sales Need to Be Verified?

We prefer sales that are publicly reportable, marketplace-confirmed, broker-confirmed or supported by enough context to be credible.

Private sales may be accepted, but they should be clearly described as private or self-reported where appropriate.

We may decline sales reports that appear misleading, inflated, unverifiable or too promotional without enough useful information for the community.

Is This Advertising?

No.

The Sold Domains sections are intended as industry records and discussion areas.

Attribution to the source is welcome, for example the marketplace, broker, registrar or investor who supplied the data, but the main focus must remain on useful domain sales information.

Is There a Fee?

No.

DNForum and our related forums do not charge for this.

If your sales data is useful to the domain community, we are happy to review it and consider publishing it in the correct Sold Domains section.

How to Apply With an RSS Feed

To apply, send a private message to Helmuts on DNForum with the subject:

Company name
Website
DNForum username
Private RSS feed URL
How often the feed is updated
Whether the sales are public, brokered, marketplace-reported or private
Preferred attribution text
A short sample of the feed output, if available
Whether you can provide separate filtered feeds for different TLD groups

There is no charge for this.

If the feed is useful to the domain community and the sales data is suitable, DNForum may add it to the correct Sold Domains section.

How to Submit One-Time Reports, CSV, Spreadsheet or Manual

If you do not have an automated RSS feed, we still welcome your one-time or periodic reports, such as monthly or quarterly sales summaries.

Option 1: CSV, Spreadsheet or Text File

To submit a batch of sales, please send a private message to Helmuts on DNForum with the subject:

Please attach your file directly to the message or provide a secure link. Ensure your document contains the same minimum required data outlined above for each sale: Domain, Price, Currency, Date, Venue and Sale Type.

Option 2: Manual Forum Submission

You are always welcome to report individual sales or lists manually by starting a new thread directly in the relevant Sold Domains section.

Navigate to the correct forum for your TLD, for example DNForum Reported Sales for global TLDs.
Create a new thread.
Put the domain name and price clearly in the thread title, for example: example.com sold for 25,000 USD.
Include the basic sale details, source link if applicable, and any relevant context in the body of your post.
