Strange that there has been no real discussion on the .aero domain in this forum, as they've been available for a short while. I've picked up a couple for personal use and development (they can't be sold or transferred), even if they are somewhat expensive.

Any others developing or buying .aero's?

Cautions:
They must be used for aviation related websites.
They are non-sellable and not transferrable.
They are expensive at $198 for 2 years.
Very few registrars offer them and they must be pre-approved before awarded.
You must be a pilot or in the aviation business to register.

add another to your cautions list: they are awful - a total waste of money, worse than .bz for god sakes

Aw, c'mon... Do these sound so awful?

Planes.aero (to develop into plane classified site)
Airplanes.aero (same as above)
Books.aero (aviation books)

I'll bet if you found these in .bz you wouldn't pass on them.

ya.... so I guess than means .bz is better, lol :-D
