For 2 days now--I can't log in or get access to my account at RegisterFly. It's like it doesn't exist. I don't know if this is a database error or what--but since this is 2 days in a row--I figured I would mention it.

Anybody else having problems?

Thanks for the replies BID & ToGood.

I just solved it--allthough I still don't understand it.

After trying everything else possible... I switched browsers from Internet Explorer to Netscape. I got in with no problem on the very first attempt. Weird huh? I have always used IE as my default browser and never had log in problems before. In fact--the only thing I ever use Netscape for is testing when I design a page or site etc.

I switch back to IE again--still can't get in. Back to Netscape again--no problems.

Very strange. Oh well..... atleast I can get in now.

OK, Now I am having problems at reg fly.

I just tried to logon to register a couple of names and wouldn't let me in.
I had them email my info which I already knew and wouldn't let me in.
I used another account and it let me in so I went back to try the account I normally use to no avail. So I decided to use the one that let me in and now it won't let me in!!!!

Looks like I have to use someone else today. What a pain in the A$$

Ok, now I can log in on my home desktop using IE 6 but not at my office using IE 6?

There's a bug in there somewhere and I need to find it!!!

Popper, this is probably a question for Regfly but how do you do this?
"Easily "park" your domain at a page you can customize until you build your site. Using our FREE FlyServers site building tools NO HTML experience is needed."

I get error messages or can't get there at all! I normally just redirect but I am trying to track the traffic on names I am registering.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I tried to ask regfly but the 24hr. service people never came on to answer any questions then my connection froze up. Another bug in their system.

Thanks

John

Everytime they send me email and I open it, I get disconnected.
Can't even ask to be removed from the list.

Am logging into RegFly okay using IE. (But have you ever successfully emailed their new nameRENTers.com company? I just got my 4th email returned by the postmaster!)

Apparently if it isn't one thing--it's another with RegisterFly.

ToGood - I have never tried to use their parking feature. The only reason I even have a RegisterFly account--is because I bought a couple names from people that were registered there.

I knew the very first day--when you needed the other person's user name and password to push a name--that I didn't like the place. Having to ask (or be asked) for your password in order to push a name is just not acceptable. It puts you in an awkward position.

I have heard people defend RegisterFly before--and say that all you have to do is change your password after each transaction--but I'm sorry--that's just silly. Besides being extra work--it goes against the most basic rule that people are first taught on the web--which is to never give people your password.

Abrams & BDM--I have also had the same weird connection problems when trying to send OR receive emails with them.

No offense to people who like RegisterFly and have good luck with them. More power to you. They have not impressed me though--and I will be transferring the couple names I have over there--into my eNom account now.

No more hassle for me.

Abrams, I actually signed up with the new NameRENTERS deal however I ahve received only a confirmation email and don't know what to do next.
I found the parking pagewhen I registered another domain there (I'm a glutton!). Anyway as with everything else I couldn't find the "no html needed" sitebuilder. In fact if it was on the page I was sent to then I couldn't find it.
I am going to bite the bullet and get an enom account. I didn't want to part with the upfront money but at this point it seems well worth it.

No more hassles for me either!
