I've got some domains with them that they have messed up  (they went into REGISTRAR-HOLD), and have been trying to renew them but without success (they have removed them from my account).

I keep using their support thing, but as everyone knows, it's far from a fast response.

So, has anyone got a human email address for someone at Register.com that can help?

i have domains with register.com too. it took about 2-3 days for them to respond and most of them....wrong answers :(
Their support is low quality. Maybe because they have too much domains in their system...like netsol

Register.com beat all registrars hands down when it comes to poor support.

I started a support ticket with then in November, 2001 and got the reply in Feb-2002 (after some 75 days). They are used to close the support ticket in 1 day without sending any reply or resolving the problems.

I don't live in U.S so I did not try to contact them by phone.

You may keep an eye on support tickets and may be start a new one or add to an open one every morning for next 1 month at least and pray to god for the good. You may try to contact them by phone (if the number is available).

They have recently started a call-back option for non-US
customers for resolving billing queries. Please check:
http://www.register.com/contact_us_bridge.cgi?cmp=IL9691

Have you tried that option? I think only a human will call you back because they are the ones who are paying for the phone call.

Wait, I just had a post here the other day that had my domains with them showed in whois, now owned by "unpaid names department'. I called them, they said the whois was wrong and they got it fixed within 30 mins.

I would take 1 Register.com rep over 10 NSI reps. Hold on, they emailed me, let me see if they gave me a direct email address.

negative - the address he emailed me with was the generic customerservice address.

Sorry!

PS: Call that unpaid names number, they will straighten it out for you.
