I hope I did it right. I initiated the transfer from my godaddy account, but I required this auth code as part of the transfer process. I have emailed Domainsite, but in the meantime, I noticed there was an auth code number in the domainsite profile of the domain I am transferring. Is it this number? I hope so cause that's what I used...

If you did not include the EPP auth code with the transfer request you initiated through Godaddy, Domainsite will not approve the transfer. In your DomainSite account you will need to obtain the EPP code and email Godaddy support so they can add it to your transfer request.

I eventually figured out that the auth code was found within the domain profile of my domainsite account. At least I hope that's the number.

That is probably your account code for someone to push you a domain.

After clicking on the domain you are looking to transfer you will get a manage screen:

domain.info

* Website Hosted no
* DNS Hosting no
* URL forwarding no
* Email Accounts no
* Email Forwarded no
* Custom Parking no
* Domain Lock unsupported

* Auth Code code here

Cheers. Yeah that's the number I used. Unique to each domain I would imagine. When I stated the domain profile I meant the domain settings for a specific domain.

Thanks again!

What if the authority code is not shown there?

Coz a domain of mine at domainsite doesnt have this auth code shown....

What could this mean? That I'm stuck?

Hi,

What is the TLD of the domain?

If it's a .Com or .Net, no Auth Code is needed.

It's therefore especially important for .Coms and .Nets that your WhoIs info
is correct and you lock your domains.
