Looks like maybe Apple Computer has acquired MobileMe.com from Frank Schilling.

Venture Beat has an article that points to Apple renaming their .Mac service to Mobile Me.

A quick review of the domain MobileMe.com indicates that it was previously owned by Name Admin then transferred to domain specialists Trout & Zimmer (who acquire for big corps). Now the domain is sitting with Mark Monitor.

Here's the article.

that's the kind of brandable name that would be hard for a domainer to use, makes more sense for a company like Apple (ie: he probably got way more for the domain than he could hope to make from it himself).

must be nice for sales like ireport.com and this one where the seller doesn't need the money and is dealing from a position of strength. they are basically doing the buyers a favour by selling to them!
