Almost 2 million searches for the term "video game" as per goto. I know that the .ws extention does not hold much value, but this one must be worth the $15 reg fee at least.

I was thinking maybe setup an affiliate Video Game Store, get it listed in engines and then Auction it off.

Thanks,

Mike

Great name, wrong extension. I see domains like this on Ebay. Some are not even selling for $50. Develop it and then it might be worth something.

Good luck!!

WS = Worth Sh*T

sorry, but 'tis true......

I think the plural would be better (VideoGames.ws) but it's still not worth much.

$100 for a video game website

I'd say your on crack.

I'd like to see any .ws sell for that amount. Who in their right mind would pay for a extention 99.9% of internet surfers have never heard of?

I'm just going by past sales... I know Bob sold a couple .ws names for around $200. Others have sold for a lot. videogame.ws would be great for a video game website. I would say $100 minimum for it. Some of these names sell for quite a bit. I'm not a fan of .ws or any names nonetheless they do sell occasionally, not through ebay but usually private offers. I also remember sedo.co.uk saying they sold a .ws name for $1,500 or more. I'll try to find the name and thread...

I had gamecodes.ws wich I think is better than videogames.ws and it was hard to even get the registration fee back on it. It took a few months for someone on eBay to bid on it.

I also put invent.ws on eBay a few months ago and it sold for $12. I no longer buy .ws domain names.

"Video Game" gets 2,000,000+ on Overture so I would think that this makes it somewhat valuable. It must be one of the top 10 searched for terms on the net.

Not even in cents...

seriously..

Try ebay, you'll be luck to get $5, stay away from .ws

I know of a .ws domain that sold for over $2k recently. Not my sale, so I don't know if I can say the name.

Yes RJ, in respect to the selling price, anything goes... beauty is in the eye of the beholder..

But in respect to appraisals... it has a $0 value.. don't you think?

all .WS appraise at 0 in my opinion, but thats not to say someone will not come along and offer you $2000.00

Happy searching...

Hmm, I think it would be easy to find a Videogame Fan website of some sort that would buy it for around $100-$200 but if you plan on getting less then $50 then just setup a simple affiliate shop and buy some good adwords. Better then selling for $5 on ebay.

I'm not sure about your logic. Why not just appraise all domains (including .com) at $0?

Yes, Because of someone comes along and offers $2000 then the domain should be appraised at 2K.

I know....

Appraisals are based on sales..

I just hate .WS.. and I took it out on this particualr .WS name...

sorry tippy...
