Hi all

I acquired the following domain name at the weekend

www.wanadoo-edition.com

It is the domain of a former frnech software company who were part of france telecom

It has over 9500 links
A PR of 5
The word wanadoo is searched over 63000 times per month. Check out the overture keyword checker to verify.

As a result the domain is number 6 and 4 on google and yahoo respectively for the term wanadoo

I have attached the stats from the last two days I have had it hosted. Yesterday was it's first full day back online. Notice today is only a couple of hours old.

For those sceptics amongst you I will post again later in the week with the updated stats. Google seems to have been 5 times yesterday wit other engines. All referring urls are there to see.

I had thoughts of developing the domain name into an online video games store which I still may do.

I am looking for anyone who may like to acquire it from me. I acquired it via snapnames on Saturday.

ALso I have just had google ad words on the fron tpage which has brought in $3.50 so far.

Looking for good substantial offers. I'll let you decide how much you think 400 organic visitors per day is worth on a PR5 site liste dfirst page on google and yahoo

PM me rather than post here. I will not reply to public offers.

Almost forgot the link to the stats

I'm interested but you said you grabed this through snapnames
yet the whois says
Record expires on 04-Oct-2005
Record created on 04-Oct-2000
Database last updated on 12-Nov-2004

I don't play the drop game but shouldn't this read

Record expires on 04-Oct-2005
Record created on 12-Nov-2004
Database last updated on 12-Nov-2004

good point berth, i'd like to know answer to this as well.

This was a netsol domain that went to auction at snapnames.

the record created date is believe it or not the date the domain was created which was 2000.

as dvdrip quite rightly said this was won using snapnames auction last week so the updated date is as you would expect 12th November 2004 with an initial expiry of novemebr 2005

not sure why you are introducing doubt into my thread.

thanks dvdrip for helping to point out how dropped domains work

I was just asking a question - don't get too upset.

I'm still not sure why created date did not update - I was not questioning how or if you did pick up a drop

The way dropped names work is that after a domain is dropped and re-registred again, the Create date should be set to the day it was dropped (re-registered) and not the original date it was registered before he drop. In your case, the date it was re-registered is showing in the Update date and not the Creation date, which is weird. Maybe Snapnames are doing this with Networksolutions domains, but to tell you the truth, that is the first time I see this behavior. Thanks

This domain never actually dropped. It just expired and after 40 days on hold, it went to auction.

be careful when dealing with this guy. He ripped me off over $1000 earlier this year! Not only that but he disregarded some of my later emails and ignored me when i needed the site fixed right after i bought it!

Who are you talking about, Jeff?

The domain and website are now generating over 850 visitors per day.
Sale withdrawn.
