While I appreciate both appraisals so far, the problem at this forum is that not many people take any time to explain why they arrived at such valuations for a particular name. I see responses like this to appraisal requests here, and it makes me wonder how useful any of these types of appraisals are.

honestly, i have no idea how much this name would be worth. I just think its a little long for a .mobi name, no offense...

No, none taken, and I appreciate that you gave reasons behind your valuation.

I don't know how well .mobi is going to do (I don't really see a need for it, but that's another topic altogether), but I was bored and saw this one was available...

The overture for "restaurants" (obviously not available for reg.) is 6,367,129 - so I thought I'd take a chance, as it fits the extension pretty well, with people looking for places to eat in the area while they are out. I don't think I could do it justice if I tried to dev it, it needs to be able to geo-target restaurant content to the individual user (at least, I think that would be a great feature).

although its a little long it actually makes sense for a mobi domain. 99% of the regged mobis dont make any sense, because there are really few things you really wanna look up when running around, I think restaurants are one of the few. Although this is not a prime name, if you would actually spend some time making it into a real website so people could see what restaurants are close you will have a huge advantage over everyone else because most people just reg a name and hope money is gonna come in the door without development. If you are one of the first ones making a real restaurant website it could pay off huge, and then it doesnt really matter that the name is a little long, people will remember it.
