I live in Asia and people I have spoken to just think its shit .. people who live in Asia would not regard themselves as Asian first .. Chinese .. Vietnamese .. etc first but this .asia just wont fly in my opinion .. of course the 'new extension' bumpers will talk it up and try and make a quick buck .. meanwhile the people will jump on it once a 'big sale' has been reported from so called respected sources ... Well, from experience.. my $250 investment for 6 domains is worth the price tag... its a chance ill take... knowing i could make back a minimum of $3000-6000. I can assure you, there will be people/end users paying for .asia / premium single words!

I dont think .asia will be a hit.. but I will take a chance to make money on it in the first 6 months.

You may see value in it or not... as a Domainer, .asia is a money maker... also.. as a Domainer, I know that other Domainers will also agree .asia is a high risk investment. Meaning, IT HAS NO FUTURE - it will die off like .name - BUT!!! As a Domainer, I also know, during landrush... this will be a buying Season... an Open Season for making fast cash... meaning, if I'm approved for dictionary words early in the landrush... I can flip them right away for profit.
