I'm afraid it is. The .net bit doesn't help either.

What would it be worth though, around $400 ?

you can have any name and add ask to it. askbill.com etc.....

as a domain by itself it not worth the reg fee. and the .net does not help any.

you would have to develop it for it to have any value

Ouch!

I suggest you lock up that credit card for a few weeks and simply read this board.

o Read all the newbie info.

o Review what's selling in the sales thread and what's not.

o Observe the attributes of names that the best buyers and sellers are posting.

Then, before you register a name, ask yourself:

1. What would I use it for?
2. Would I pay $n(nnnn) for it?
3. Would I develop it?
4. Are people really interested in this topic? (OT and Google can help.)

If yes is the answer to all four Qs, then go for it. If not, keep that cc in your pocket, your bankaccount will appreciate it. :)

Ok, thanks for the tip, indeed the house shook when they dropped the credit card bill
